29 CFR 1926.452(j)(2): Poles were not secured to the structure by rigid triangular bracing or equivalent at the bottom, top, and other points as necessary: a) 104 Emerson Court, southern most unit, end unit - Employees were working approximately 16 feet above the ground, from a pump jack scaffold system with numerous defects, such as: poles only braced at the roof, on or about 03/05/14; b) 104 Emerson Court, unit #3, northern most scaffold setup - Employees were working approximately 7 feet above the ground, from a pump jack scaffold system with numerous defects, such as: poles only braced at the roof, on or about 03/05/14; c) 104 Emerson Court, scaffold setup on the south end of building - Employees were working approximately 12 feet above the ground, from a pump jack scaffold system with numerous defects, such as: poles only braced at the roof, on or about 03/05/14. NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM, FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
