29 CFR 1910.335(a)(1)(i): Employees working in areas where there are potential electrical hazards shall be provided with,and shall use, electrical protective equipment that is appropriate for the specific parts of the body to be protected and for the work to beperformed.Note: Personal protective equipment requirements are contained in subpart I of this part. a. On or about July 21, 2011, an employee was not wearing personal protective equipment consisting of insulated rubber gloves, and FR clothing while voltage testing on a 480 Volt AC motor that was replaced on a conveyor system. b. On or about May 26, 2011, an employee was not wearing personal protective equipment consisting of insulated rubber gloves and FR clothing while voltage testing on a 230 Volt AC circuit while replacing a fuse on the Raque Line.
