Labor and Employment Article, Section 5-104(a), Annotated Code of Maryland: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: (a)Date of Violation:11/16/10 Location:Plant Equipment:Toyota Model # 422FG and Hyster forklifts Condition:Two forklifts operated by the employees were not equipped with seatbelts. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to ensure that the employer install and the employee use the seat belt, while operating the equipment.
