29 CFR 1910.147(c)(6)(i)(A): The periodic inspection of the energy control procedure was not performed by an authorized employee other than the one utilizing the energy control procedure being inspected: Throughout the Facility: The employer failed to conduct a periodic inspection of the energy control procedures as outlined above. The employer is having a single authorized employee review the procedure and a management representative does a document review and final certification. The procedure is to be reviewed by two authorized employees; one will perform the lockout operation outlined on the procedure while the second ensures the procedures accuracy. Abatement certification and abatement documentation is required for this violation. The documentation should include written verification of abatement, applicable measurements or monitoring results, and photographs or videos which you believe will be helpful. The abatement certification sheet is enclosed with the citations.
