Minn. Stat. 182.653 subd. 2: The employer did not furnish to each employee, conditions of employment and a place of employment free from recognized hazards which caused or were likely to cause death or serious injury to employees: August 11, 2005, the place of employment was not free from recognized hazards such as but not limited to carbon monoxide in that two gas hot water heaters were not vented to the outdoors as required by NFPA 9.7.2, Venting and Air Supply. Venting of gas fired water heaters to the outdoor is required for the removal of combustion products as well as process fumes (e.g. flue gases) to outer air.
