29 CFR 1910.219(c)(4)(i):Projecting shaft ends shall present a smooth edge and end and shall not project more than one-half the diameter of the shaft unless guarded by nonrotating caps or safety sleeves. a) Hammond's Candies, 5735 N Washington Street, Denver CO 80216: On or about 1/24/2025, the employer did not ensure that the rotating shaft end which projected approximately 1.25 inches was effectively guarded. Employees working at a conveyor belt located in the product packaging area of the facility were potentially exposed to hazards created by moving parts and entanglement at the caramel wrapping machine.
