29 CFR 1910.303(f)(2): Services, feeders, and branch circuits. Each service, feeder, and branch circuit, at its disconnecting means or overcurrent device, shall be legibly marked to indicate its purpose, unless located and arranged so the purpose is evident. On or about August 22, 2024, the employer did not ensure that branch circuits at their disconnecting means were legibly marked to indicate their purpose. Employees are exposed to shock related injuries in the event the incorrect disconnect is used due to the lack of labeling. The following instances were observed: (a) Near Station 2- two electrical disconnects mounted on a structural beam are present. There is a switch, and multiple receptacles present to include 240V and 110V. Nothing is labeled. (b) Near Station 3- three electrical disconnects mounted on a structural beam are present. Multiple receptacles present to include 240V and 110V. Nothing is labeled. Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).
