29 CFR 1910.178(l)(1)(ii): Prior to permitting an employee to operate a powered industrial truck (except for training purposes), the employer shall ensure that each operator has successfully completed the training required by this paragraph (l), except as permitted by paragraph (l)(5). a. On or about August 8, 2024, and at times prior, the employer permitted an untrained employee to operate the Mitsubishi Model FGC70K (Serial No. AF8900232) by Extrusion Line 2. As a result, employees were exposed to struck-by hazards.
