29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: On or about July 1, 2024, one or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect clothing line employees from a caught-in hazard created by the Hytrol Model TH (S/N:16DZ65) conveyor system tail end pulley and snub roller. Employees were not protected against operational necessity or inadvertent contact with the zone of danger associated with the discharge end of the conveyor.
