29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: a) Production/Processing - On May 8, 2024, the employer did not ensure that all hazards created by ingoing nip points and rotating parts, including the nip point between the end of the conveyor and the stop bar, were adequately guarded in a manner that would prevent employees from having any part of their body in the danger zone or inadvertently coming in contact with moving parts during operation.
