29 CFR 1926.1153(i)(2)(i): The employer did not ensure that employees covered by this section could demonstrate knowledge and understanding of at least the requirements outlined in 29 CFR 1926(i)(2)(i)(A) through (F) where there was exposure to respirable crystalline silica: 1620 Post Road East, Westport CT: On or about December 29, 2023, the employer did not provide the appropriate training including (1) the health hazards of silica exposure, (2) measures used to protect from exposure, (3) the contents of the OSHA silica standard, and (4) other information for the worker exposed to respirable crystalline silica during tasks such as (but not limited to) using a mini-excavator mounted jackhammer to break up concrete.
