29 CFR 1910.28(b)(11)(i): The employer did not ensure that each employee exposed to an unprotected side or edge of a stairway landing that is 4 feet (1.2 m) or more above a lower level is protected by a guardrail or stair rail system. a) Powder Tank in the Production Area; On or about August 22, 2023, and at times prior, the employer exposed employees to fall hazards, in that; the upper landing of the stairs did not have a guardrail installed. The staircase is 10 feet in height. b) Hazardous Wastewater Treatment Tank in the Production Area; On or about August 22, 2023, and at times prior, the employer exposed employees to fall hazards, in that; the upper landing of the stairs did not have a guardrail installed. The staircase is 8 feet in height.
