29 CFR 1910.305(g)(2)(iii): Flexible cords and cables shall be connected to devices and fittings so that strain relief is provided that will prevent pull from being directly transmitted to joints or terminal screws. On or about December 6, 2022, and times prior thereto, a strain relief cord that was attached to the base of the connector, showed the inner wires of the power cord that was connected to the outlet. The connector was the electrical supply to the weight scale that is used by employees on a daily basis. This exposed employees to electrical hazards.
