29 CFR 1926.503(a)(2): The employer did not assure that each employee exposed to fall hazards was trained by a competent person qualified in the areas specified in 29 CFR 1926.503 (a)(2)(i) through (viii) a- 25, 27, 29, 31, 33 Cardinal Way, Mount Laurel NJ: Workers, not using fall protection, were exposed to fall hazards up to and in excess of 9 feet 4 inches when performing floor truss installation and other related activities from a residential structure's second floor while working/walking next to and at unprotected edges as well as when working/walking next to and at an unprotected stairway opening. At the time of the worksite inspection, the company did not provide these worksite workers with training to recognize and address the hazards associated with falls NOR how to properly use the worksite fall protection equipment. Condition noted observed on or about 08/25/22. NOTE: THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION FOR THIS ITEM, FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
