29 CFR 1910.157(c)(1):Portable fire extinguishers were not mounted, located and identified so that they were readily accessible without subjecting the employees to injuries: a) Maintenance Bays/First Bays Area: On or about 8/9/2022, a fire extinguisher next to the door leading into the Spray Booth Bay area was not mounted or identified. b) Maintenance Bays/First Bays area: On or about 8/9/2022, a fire extinguisher on the floor next to the microwave and mini fridge was not mounted or identified. c) Maintenance Bays/Middle Bays Area: On or about 8/9/2022, a fire extinguisher on the floor next to the roll up door, behind an unsecured compressed gas cylinder was not mounted or identified. d) Maintenance Bays/ Middle Bays Area: On or about 8/9/2022, a fire extinguisher on a shelf above the Waste Oil tank and behind oil equipment was not mounted or identified. e) Maintenance Bays/Middle Bays Area: On or about 8/9/2022, a fire extinguisher on its side on the floor behind two unsecured compressed gas cylinders was not mounted. NOTE: THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
