29 CFR 1910.303(b)(7)(i): Unused openings in boxes, raceways, auxillary gutters, cabinets, equipment cases, or housings were not effectively closed to afford protection substantially equivalent to the wall of the equipment: a) Stateroom 6 - On or about July 20, 20222, and times prior thereto, an outlet receptable installed for use had a damaged cover allowing for opening and was not effectively closed, exposing employees to electrical and fire hazards. b) Pump Room/Worktable - On or about September 29, 2022, and times prior thereto, openings were observed with knockouts missing for breaker spaces 5 and 7, exposing employees to electrical and fire hazards. c) Engine Room - On or about October 2, 2022, and times prior thereto, openings were observed with knockouts missing for breaker spaces 15, 17, and 19, exposing employees to electrical and fire hazards. d) Stateroom 2 - On or about October 25, 2022, and times prior thereto, a housing unit for a heater was observed with unused openings not effectively closed with a missing knockout and cover, exposing employees to electrical and fire hazards. e) Stateroom 2 - On or about October 25, 2022, and times prior thereto, a metal light housing permanently installed was observed with an unused opening at the socket, exposing employees to electrical hazards. f) Stateroom 8 - On or about October 25, 2022, and times prior thereto, a subpanel was observed with unused openings not effectively closed between the top and bottom of the cover, exposing employees to electrical hazards.
