29 CFR 1910.307(c): Equipment, wiring methods, and installations of equipment in hazardous (classified) locations were not intrinsically safe, approved for the hazardous (classified) location, or safe for the hazardous (classified) location: (a) Building 1, outside of Truck Body Powder Coat Booths 1 and 2 - Both spray booths released powder coating (a Class II combustible dust) during spraying and housekeeping operations. Electrical equipment, including breaker panels, receptacles, snap switches, fans, and general purpose wiring on booth lighting fixtures, were subject to deposits of powder coating dust and not approved for Class II, Division 2 locations, exposing employees to fire and explosion hazards, on or about January 25, 2022. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and state employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
