29 CFR 1910.253(e)(5)(v): Hose showing leaks, burns, worn places, or other defects rendering it unfit for service were not repaired or replaced. On or about December 29, 2021 and at times prior thereto, at the yard, the oxygen and propane hoses of a cutting torch were damaged and leaking and were not repaired or replaced. An employee used the cutting torch to cut metal and this exposed the employee to a fire hazard during torch cutting operations. Standard Iron & Metal Co., LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.253(e)(5)(v), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1519741, citation number 1, item number 2 group c and was affirmed as a final order on 9/21/2021, with respect to a workplace located at 1501 East Reno Avenue in Oklahoma City, OK.
