29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1):One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: a) Worksite was located at 2 Applegate Dr, Robbinsville Twp, NJ 08691 - Employees were exposed to second degree burn hazards while they were working on a W. E. Plemons Machinery Services Inc. model number 3000800 packaging machine in the outer boxing room. Employees were grinding the catch holder while they blocked the sparks from flying with a highly combustible sheet of corrugated packaging. Violation occurred on or about January 20, 2022. b) Worksite was located at 2 Applegate Dr, Robbinsville Twp, NJ 08691 - Employees were exposed to amputation hazards as the gears of the Taeheung Engineering Co. LTD. Press Roller sheet dough maker was guarded with only shop installed cardboard to protect employees from injury. Violation occurred between January 20, 2022 and February 16, 2022. NOTE: THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
