29 CFR 1910.1053(f)(2)(i):The employer did not establish and implement a written exposure control plan: On or about February 8, 2022, the employer did not establish and implement a written exposure control plan for respirable crystalline silica. a.) On or about February 8, 2022, the employer did not ensure that employees working at the 600T-3 Press were not exposed to levels of respirable silica at or above the action level. An employee working primarily on press 600T-3, was exposed to 27.47 ug/m3 of respirable crystalline silica over a sampling period of 455 minutes, approximately 1.09 times the action limit. Exposure calculations included a zero increment for the time not sampled. b.) On or about February 8, 2022, the employer did not ensure that employees working at the 80T-1 Press were not exposed to levels of respirable silica at or above the action level. An employee working primarily on press 80T-1, was exposed to 31.62 mg/m3 of respirable crystalline silica over a sampling period of 428 minutes, approximately 1.26 times the action limit. Exposure calculations included a zero increment for the time not sampled.
