29 CFR 1910.305(g)(1)(iv)(A): Flexible cords and/or cables were used as a substitute for the fixed wiring of a structure: Establishment: Employer is exposing employees to electrical hazards where the employees are permitted to operate a piece of fixed electrical equipment powered by a flexible cord. On 6/10/2021 a flexible cord was used to supply power to a piece of fixed die storage equipment. The power cord of the fixed equipment was connected to the flexible cord using the flexible cord as a substitute for fixed wiring of a structure. Employees who operated the Kardex Remstar Shuttle XP 700 equipment were exposed to electrical hazards.
