29 CFR 1910.254(d)(9)(iii): Cables with damaged insulation or exposed bare conductors were not replaced: The employer does not ensure welding cables with exposed copper wires were repaired or removed from service, at the CM Truck Beds facility, exposing employees to burn and shock hazards. a) This violation was observed on or about August 3, 2021, in the robot cell, two welding cables had exposed copper wires b) This violation was observed on or about August 3, 2021, on welding line#2, a welding cable damaged exposing copper wires Pursuant to 29 CFR 1903.19, within (10) calendar days of the date of this citation, the employer must submit documentation describing the steps taken to ensure welders with exposed copper wires are repaired or removed from service.
