29 CFR 1926.651(g)(2)(i): Emergency rescue equipment, such as breathing apparatus, a safety harness and line, or a basket stretcher, was not readily available where hazardous atmospheric conditions existed or could reasonably be expected to develop during work in an excavation. Location: Worksites Employees are exposed potentially hazardous atmospheric conditions without the proper emergency rescue equipment to facilitate a safe extraction from the excavation should an employee become incapacitated.
