29 CFR 1910.132(a): Protective equipment was not used when necessary whenever hazards capable of causing injury and impairment were encountered: a) Pedricktown South Sluice Box, Pedricktown NJ: On, about, and prior to 02/04/21 employee(s) working over or near water where the danger or drowning existed, were not provided with nor required to wear a U.S. Coast Guard approved life jacket(s) or buoyant work vest, exposing the employees to a potential drowning hazard. NOTE: IN ADDTION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
