29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(3)(iii): Employee training did not include the measures employees can take to protect themselves from chemical hazards, including specific procedures the employer had implemented to protect employees from exposure to hazardous chemicals, such as appropriate work practices, emergency procedures and personal protective equipment to be used: On or about August, 28, 2020, at the location of 3225 W. 71st St., CLEVELAND, OH, 44102, the employer failed to train employees on the measures employees can take to protect themselves from chemical hazards including specific procedures the employer had implemented to protect employees from exposure to hazardous chemicals, such as appropriate work practices, emergency procedures and personal protective equipment to be used when employees were exposed to hazardous chemicals, including, but not limited to, recirculating vat cleaner, which contained sodium hydroxide and battery acid, which contained sulfuric acid. Both chemicals required the use of chemical gloves, chemical goggles, and, or a face shield and require the use of quick drenching facilities in the event of skin or eye exposure.
