29 CFR 1910.303(b)(2): Listed or labeled electrical equipment was not used or installed in accordance with instructions included in the listing or labeling. Relocatable Power Taps (RPT), also known as an extension block, power board, power bar, plug board, trailer lead and by many other variations, was not installed in accordance with the manufacturer's listing. a. 60 Deans Rhode Hall Rd., Monmouth Junction, NJ - Supervisors Station - Warehouse The employer installed RTP's power computer equipment and plugged additional RTP's (daisy chained) to increase the number of outlets available for additional equipment in a manner that was not approved by the manufacture's listing. Power strips at the supervisor desk were plugged into other RTP's for portable battery recharging to the scanners. Violation observed on or about March 12, 2020 b. 60 Deans Rhode Hall Rd., Monmouth Junction, NJ - Fleet Maintenance The employer installed RTP's to power computer equipment and other small devices in a manner that was not approved by the manufacture's listing. Employees in the maintenance department used RTP's plugged into an extension cord and not directly into the wall outlet to power computer equipment. Violation observed on or about March 12, 2020
