29 CFR 1926.652(a)(1): Each employee in an excavation was not protected from cave-ins by an adequate protective system designed in accordance with 29 CFR 1926.652 (b) or (c): (a) On or about 7/23/2019 - 4901 Twin Pine Circle, Hoover, AL, an employee was exposed to cave-in hazards when working in a trench and a protective system was not used. The trench measured approximately 5 to 7 feet deep, 70 feet long, and 3.5 to 5 feet wide with spoil piles up to 5 feet high located on either side and at the edge of the trench.
