29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: (a) Site: Building 1, at the Coating Line, on the catwalk above the Main Drive component, in the facility at 130 Riverdale Street, Northbridge, MA 01534: On 4/3/2019 a machine guard was not provided to protect a Coating Line Operator from moving parts of the Main Drive in that the operator periodically placed a foot through the railing on the catwalk and on to the moving wire mesh in order to straighten it.
