29 CFR 1910.217(h)(10)(ii)(D): A check was not made to assure that the barriers and/or supplemental presence sensing devices required by paragraph (h)(9)(ix) of this section were operating properly at the beginning of each shift or whenever a die change was made: (a) On or about October 17, 2018 - Danly 450 presses 1 and 2, employees were exposed to struck-by hazards when the light curtains on the back sides were no longer checked for proper operation when orders stopped for the product that required employees on both sides of the presses.
