29 CFR 1910.135(a)(1): The employer shall ensure that each affected employee wears a protective helmet when working in areas where there is a potential for injury to the head from falling objects: The employer is failing to protect employees from struck-by hazards. This was most recently documented on October 19, 2018 at 8209 Garfield Avenue, Kansas City, Kansas where employee(s) were engaged in cleaning up tree branches from the back yard of a residential home were exposed to head injuries due to no protective helmets being worn while another employee cut tree branches approximately 45 - 50 feet above ground using the Versalift aerial lift device.
