29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips: The employer is failing to protect employees from amputation and struck-by hazards. This was most recently documented on or about 08/03/18 at 1351 S. Reca Ct, Wichita, Kansas, where an employee was using a 20 inch Craftsman Drill Press (Model 113.213213, SN 9609200009). The employee was exposed in that a machine guard was not in place to protect the operator from contact with the rotating bit and flying chips and debris.
