29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1): Employees were not provided effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment and whenever a new hazard that the employees had not been previously trained about was introduced into their work area: (a) On or about May 30, 2018, at the employer's property at 1000 Pelton Dr., Oak Creek, WI, 53154, the employer did not provide effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in the work areas of 27 employees at the time of their initial assignment. Hazard communication training was not provided to any production floor employees that were exposed in some degree to metals that included barium, cadmium, and chromium. (b) On or about May 30, 2018, at the employer's property at 1000 Pelton Dr., Oak Creek, WI, 53154, the employer did not provide effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in the work areas at the time of initial assignment or when new chemical hazards were introduced into the work areas. Hazard communication training was not provided to a maintenance employee that regularly handles solvents, oils, and industrial strength cleaners.
