29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(3)(ii): Employee training did not include the physical, health, simple asphyxiation, combustible dust, and pyrophoric gas hazards, as well as hazards not otherwise classified, of the chemicals in the work area. a. Lewco, Inc. located in Sandusky, Ohio: On or about September 8, 2017, the employer did not ensure employees working in the powder coating department responsible for the application of powder coating onto metal parts, were not provided with information on the health effects of the powders used in the process. Employees are exposed to substances such as but not limited to trimellitic anhydride, epoxy polymers, and triglycidyl isocyanurate which can cause cancer, skin sensitization, respiratory sensitization, and are combustible dusts.
