29 CFR 1910.147(c)(7)(i): The employer did not provide training to ensure that the purpose and function of the energy control program was understood by employees and that the knowledge and skills required for the safe application, usage, and removal of the energy controls were acquired by employees. a. Ross Casting & Innovation, LLC located in Sidney, Ohio: On or about May 25, 2017, the employer did not ensure employees performing work such as but not limited to puck change-outs on the OD Grinder and the Auto Saw located in Cell #1 had been trained as authorized employees under the company's lockout program. Employees performing this work were exposed to struck-by, caught-in, and severe laceration hazards.
