29 CFR 1910.253(b)(2)(iv): Valve protection caps, where cylinder is designed to accept a cap, shall always be in place, hand-tight, except when cylinders are in use or connected for use. a. Located in the maintenance area of the workplace: On or about March 20, 2017 and at times prior, a torch cart was stored along the main aisle through the maintenance area. The regulators were not removed from the cylinders while in storage, thereby exposing employees to a fire hazard.
