Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 006 Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.253(b)(4)(iii): Oxygen cylinders in storage shall be separated from fuel-gas cylinders or combustible materials (especially oil or grease), a minimum distance of 20 feet (6.1 m) or by a noncombustible barrier at least 5 feet (1.5 m) high having a fire-resistance rating of at least one-half hour. The employer is failing to protect employees from fire and explosion hazards. This was most recently documented 11/17/16 at the establishment located at 15 SW. 40 Ave in Great Bend KS., where an oxygen cylinder is stored approximately 30 inches from an acetylene cylinder near the boiler room.
