29 CFR 1926.200(g)(2)/MUTCD 6C: All traffic control signs and devices used for protection of the workers did not conform to Part VI of the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) 1988 Edition, Revision 3 in that the employer did not develop and implement temporary traffic control elements to direct traffic around the work zone and protect employees in the work zone: a) 37 N 63rd Street, Philadelphia, PA - The employer did not develop and implement a traffic control plan that included transition areas using channelizing devices to direct traffic away from the closed roadway and into the temporary lane. This condition exposed the employees to struck-by hazards on or about November 19, 2015. Abatement Note: Channelizing devices must comply with the requirements found in the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices, 1988 Edition, Revision 3, or the Millennium Edition.
