29 CFR 1910.305(g)(1)(iv)(A): Unless specifically permitted otherwise in paragraph (g)(1)(ii) of this section, flexible cords and cables may not be used: Flexible cords and cables were used as a substitute for the fixed wiring of a structure: (a) On November 3, 2014 in the main area of the store just behind the cash registers: Employees were exposed to electrocution, shock, burns, and other electrical hazards, in that extension cords were used as a substitute for fixed wiring for a charging battery chargers, temporary AC units, and portable fans.
