29 CFR 1910.1026(l)(2)(i)(B): The employer did not provide appropriate information and training for all employees exposed to chromium (VI) in that employees could not demonstrate knowledge of the purpose and description of the requirements for a medical surveillance program as outlined by the Chromium (VI) standard, 29 CFR 1910.1026(k). On or about March 02, 2017 in the welding bays of the production area employees welding on stainless steel were exposed to chromium (VI) where the employer did not ensure that employees could demonstrate knowledge of the purpose and description of the requirements of the chromium (VI) medical surveillance program. On March 02, 2017 a welder was exposed to 5.4 micrograms chromium (VI) per cubic meter of air as an eight hour time weighted average for 463 minutes sampled with the remaining 17 minutes calculated as zero exposure.
