29 CFR 1910.134(h)(2)(i): Respirators were not stored to protect them from damage, contamination, dust, sunlight, extreme temperatures, excessive moisture, and damaging chemicals or were not packed or stored to prevent deformation of the facepiece and exhalation valve: At the Coreslab Structures Inc. facility located at 1615 W Arrow Street in Marshall Missouri 65340, on October 2, 2024, and at times prior: The employer failed to ensure that the Bullard 88VX PAPR (powered air-purifying respirator) headgear for abrasive blasting, SAR System, Model 13VX respirators were stored and maintained properly to protect them from damage, contamination, dust, sunlight, extreme temperatures, excessive moisture, and damaging chemicals. Employees were exposed lung illnesses such as asthma and silicosis in that the respirators were not being stored and maintained to prevent damage and contamination.
