29 CFR 1910.134(f)(2): Employee(s) using tight-fitting facepiece respirators were not fit tested prior to initial use of the respirator, whenever a different respirator facepiece (size, style, model or make) is used, and at least annually thereafter: Long Shot Pistol & Rifle, LLC, 375 County Ave Secaucus, NJ (a) The employer did not ensure that employees using respirators such as but not limited to a full-face 3M respirator with P100 cartridges was fit tested prior to initial use of the respirator. An employee performing cleaning activities in the facility was exposed to respirable lead concentrations exceeding the Permissible Exposure Limit (PEL) of 50 ug/m3 by 2.67x. The exposure is equivalent to a time-weighted average of 133.7264 ug/m3 exceeded the PEL of 50 ug/m3. The sample time was 229 minutes. Zero exposure was assumed for the unsampled time period of 251 minutes. Violation occurred on or about June 10th, 2023.
