29 CFR 1910.1025(l)(1)(i): Employee(s) working in an area where there is potential exposure to airborne lead at any level were not informed of the content of Appendices A and B of 29 CFR 1910.1025 On or about February 28, 2023 Thoughtful Craftsmen had not developed a lead employee information and training program, that informed all employees who could possibly be exposed to airborne lead of the content of Appendices A and B of 29 CFR 1910.1025. a) On February 28, 2023, an employee tasked with stripping the old paint off window frames in the window tuning room was exposed to an 8- hour time weighted average (TWA) of 52.937 micrograms per cubic meter of air for lead, approximately 23 micrograms per cubic meter above the action level. Sampling accounted for the period of 337 minutes, and zero exposure was assumed for the remaining 143 minutes. b) On February 28, 2023, an employee tasked with stripping the old paint off window frames in the window tuning room was exposed to an 8-hour time weighted average (TWA) of 27.8 micrograms per cubic meter of air for lead. Sampling accounted for the period of 277 minutes, and zero exposure was assumed for the remaining 203 minutes. c) On February 28, 2023, an employee required to work in the window tuning room was exposed to an 8-hour time weighted average (TWA) of 28.188 micrograms per cubic meter of air for lead. Sampling accounted for the period of 410 minutes, and zero exposure was assumed for the remaining 70 minutes. d) On February 28, 2023, a storm window production employee who worked in the main room(lead free area) was exposed to an 8-hour time weighted average (TWA) of 17.063 micrograms per cubic meter of air for lead. Sampling accounted for the period of 350 minutes, and zero exposure was assumed for the remaining 130 minutes.
