29 CFR 1910.217(f)(2): Operator(s) were not trained and instructed in the safe method of work before starting work on mechanical power press(es): (a) PRODUCTION AREA, METAL DEPARTMENT - The employer utilized a Niagra M60 power press and a General Electric C45 Bliss power press for production operations, and the employer had not provided training to the employee(s) who operate the presses to ensure that the employee(s) were competent to inspect and operate the power presses as required by 29 CFR 1910.217, on or about October 8, 2021. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
