29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1): Employees were not provided effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment and whenever a new hazard that the employees had not been previously trained about was introduced into their work area: Facilities at 940 and 950 Wellington Avenue, Cranston RI: On or about August 18, 2021, the employer did not provided effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area including, but not limited to: a.) Corian shop (bldg. 940) employees are exposed to fire hazards by working with flammable chemicals such as Corian Joint adhesive (flammable) and denatured alcohol (flammable). b.) Stone fabrication shop (bldg. 950) employees are exposed to fire hazards by working with flammable chemicals such as acetone and inhalation hazards by working with solid surface materials containing silica such as granite and Wilsonart Quartz.
