1910.178(g)(7): When charging batteries, acid shall be poured into water; water shall not be poured into acid. Employees engaged in material handling and distribution operations at 4410 South 36th Street, Omaha, Nebraska 68107, Swing Dock Area, were exposed to chemical hazards in that employees were servicing the forklift batteries by adding water to batteries already containing acid.
