29 CFR 1910.1025(i)(4)(ii): Lunchroom facilities for employees exposed to lead in excess of the permissible exposure limit (PEL), without regard to the use of respirators, were not provided with a temperature controlled, positive pressure, filtered air supply: Location: Mirion Technologies (Capintec), Inc., 7 Vreeland Road, Florham Park, NJ a) The employer did not provide lunchroom facilities for employees exposed to lead in excess of the permissible exposure limit (PEL) that were equipped with a temperature controlled, positive pressure, filtered air supply. On May 8, 2023, an employee sanding shielding materials in the machine room was exposed to respirable lead concentrations of 120 micrograms per cubic meter of air as an 8 hour Time Weighted Average exceeding the Permissible Exposure Limit (PEL) of 50 micrograms per cubic meter of air by 2.4 times. Zero exposure was assumed for the unsampled period of 66 minutes. The shielding material used contained 99.99 percent lead. Violation occurred on or about May 8, 2023.
