29 CFR 1910.217(e)(3): Original and continuing competence of personnel maintaining mechanical power presses was not insured: (a) PRODUCTION AREA, METAL DEPARTMENT - The employer utilized a Niagra M60 power press and a General Electric C45 Bliss power press for production operations, and the employer had not provided training to the maintenance personnel or other employee(s) who performed maintenance work on the presses to ensure that the employee(s) who maintained the power presses were competent to do so, on or about October 8, 2021. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
