29 CFR 1910.1000(e): Feasible administrative or engineering controls were not determined and implemented to achieve compliance with the limits prescribed in 29 CFR 1910.1000(a) through (d): Shark Glass Recycling, LLC, Lavonia, GA - Glass area- The ventilation system was not adequate in that the ducts had several holes throughout the facility. Effective engineering controls were not implemented, on or about March 7, 2019. a) An employee sorting glass was exposed to Total Dust of 20 mg/m3, 1.3 times the permissible exposure limit (PEL) of 15 mg/m3. b) An employee sorting glass was exposed to Total Dust of 47.4 mg/m3, 3.2 times the permissible exposure limit (PEL) of 15 mg/m3.
