The employer's emergency action plan requires full face cartridge respirator for employees working in areas with ammonia readings between 25 to 250 ppm. There were visible ammonia vapor clouds at the facility roof area where the employees were trying to access the valves. The employees left the area when the ammonia readings were at 110 ppm.
