29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1): Employees were not provided effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment and whenever a new hazard that the employees had not been previously trained about was introduced into their work area: (a) On or about 2/2/2016 at Ainsworth Institute of Pain Management PLLC located at 115 East 57th Street Suite 1210 New York, NY 10022, medical assistants perform cleaning operations using chemicals including but not limited to Sani-Cloth Plus Germicidal Disposable Cloth which contains Isopropanol. The employer failed to develop a training program to give employees information and training on the hazardous chemicals within their work areas. NOTE: THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT CERTIFICATION OF ABATEMENT FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY MAY RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY.
